I delayed entry into Horizon Walker to get the build a Swift Action studied target (Slayer 7), which I actually think is pretty crucial for action economy, especially since your higher level goal is to be doing full attack actions. Higher levels I'd tailor based on the needs of the campaign.I play a horizon walker revised ranger. I'm debating MCing into something for 3-5 levels. The basic idea for the character is melee ranger who hits and runs via teleportation/better mobility and is stealthy tracker type. Dueling fighting style, with a shield. Having played a horizon walker and an echo knight, I'll say right off the bat this will be a difficult build to utilise all the skills due to bonus actions; the core damage feature for horizon walkers utilises your bonus action every turn to do extra force damage, and the Echo Knight has to use a bonus action to create their duplicate. So Carpone from the Lava Divers has been doing a bunch of DPS tests on Ranged builds. He's the same person that wrote up the Horizon Walker guide that most good players use as their Ranged dps build.
