I had a service manager tell me with the bike up right it should be level with the bottom of the dury cover and if I lean it over it should pour out. Then I had someone else tell me the book state it shold take 32 oz.Run it until the motor is warm and drop that oil out. Its a dry sump oiling system, the motor only needs about a qt in the pan to oil itself. The additional oil is for cooling, and adverse situations, like when the sump is not being evacuated properly.
