Oct 6, 2021 · Squeaking brakes at low speed. I have a 2019 SLE Acadia, and I would like to check the condition of my own brake pads. It only has about 25,000 miles on it. Upon researching I saw that you need to put newer vehicles with an electric parking brake into service mode. I can not find any instructions on how to put the parking brake into service mode. . Then the console parking brake warning light is lit. Sometimes that goes out on long drives but then comes on again later. Dealer has tried to fix it but didn't really solve it.I'm skipping the obvious steps of jacking up, supporting vehicle, wheel removal, and not putting the truck in brake service mode, as I'm not sure how, and there are a lot of different posts on how to do it.
