I believe it will crank but not fire if it's the CPS. Mine did anyway. Your going to have to check the ignition fuse and relay. Then you will need to see if there is power to the solenoid. The pic shows the reluctor wheel hub and oil pump gear misaligned with the crank. That pin broke for sure. Once you remove that hub then you can see the cam gear and pin. It might be fine, and your issue is just the hub in front of it. You should be able to pull that off with a puller.

If i remember right, there all the same cranks...in my personal opinion, the reason why we dont see as many broken cranks in lly's is simply because more people own lbz's and lb7's. Let me rephrase it a little..more people mod lbz's and lb7's. People tend to look at lly's (for some stupid reason) as if they are the ugly red headed ...This is a 6.6L Duramax it cranks but wont start it has 120000 miles on it. Putting it back together is tricky, but still possible. It could be done but the block should be align honed after breaking a crank.
